Val di Cornia parks gather numerous sites of historical interest, such as the Parco Archeominerario di San Silvestro – archaeological mining park of San Silvestro – (45 minutes from Scaforno) where you can admire the remains of the ancient village and live a unique and interesting experience following a path through caves and tunnels to discover the Temperino mine. In Piombino, a few kilometers from San Silvestro, there is the Museo Archeologico del Territorio di Populonia – archaeological museum of Populonia territory – where you will find full-scale displays of activities and ancient environments, videos of archaeological findings and large reconstructions of the landscape.

Closer to Scaforno, in Rosignano Marittimo, the Museo Civico Archeologico – archaeological civic museum – exhibits on three floors the findings that testify the settlements along our coast since the prehistoric age.
